Basic Options
Click the Basic button to open the basic options dialog. Each symbology has its own options and displays a preview so you can see how each option changes the barcode. The basic options are described below.

Content
The content is the value to be stored in the barcode. The barcode is a machine-readable representation of the value. For most symbologies, the value is also shown underneath the bars as human-readable text.
Many symbologies require the last digit to be a check digit. A check digit is special value used for error correction that is calculated from the other digits. Easy Barcode Creator automatically calculates these check digits so you do not have to worry about creating an invalid barcode.
Add-On
A few symbologies support the use of a 2 or 5-digit Add-On barcode. The Add-On barcode appears as a small barcode to the right side of the main barcode. For the ISBN symbology only, the Add-On barcode can be used to encode a 5-digit price extension.
